Hollywood

Wood, approximately 8' tall x 2' wide

The theme for my daughter’s 8th grade graduation dance was “Hollywood” and I was asked to build some scenery.  I built six 8 foot tall Academy Awards Oscar statues, two spotlights, and the famous Hollywood sign.  The statues were just plywood flats painted to look dimensional.  The spotlights were also plywood, but were more impressionistic than realistic, with white gauze representing the shining lights.  The Hollywood sign was cut out of foam core sheets.
